WordPress Web Optimization Specialist: SEO + CRO (Contract)

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Tiger Tracks is a fully remote performance marketing agency built by former Google marketing leaders with decades of experience managing top tier digital ad accounts. We partner with PE firms, startups, and enterprise brands to drive measurable growth through paid search and social advertising. Our approach combines strategic consulting with hands-on optimization, helping clients outperform in an ever changing digital landscape. The Role: We're hiring a WordPress Web Optimization Specialist (SEO + CRO) to own and improve Tiger Tracks' website experience, paid media landing pages, and SEO foundation. This role exists to eliminate bottlenecks. You'll be responsible for shipping fast, improving conversion rates, and proactively maintaining a clean, high-performing WordPress site. Paid media landing pages should launch quickly, convert well, and be easy to iterate. SEO improvements should be planned, implemented, and measured, not reactive. This is a contractor role (20-30 hours/week minimum) reporting to the Director of Client Success (Marketing), with tight collaboration across marketing, paid media, creative, and leadership. What You Will Do:

  • Build, launch, and iterate high-converting paid media landing pages (UX, layout, form flow, speed, tracking readiness)
  • Own ongoing website updates: new pages, content updates, layout and navigation changes, mobile responsiveness
  • Execute technical SEO improvements, including: Crawlability and indexation, Core Web Vitals and site speed, Sitemaps, robots.txt, canonicals, redirects, Broken link remediation and schema markup
  • Establish and run a simple intake → prioritization → delivery workflow with clear SLAs, QA checklists, and weekly releases
  • Maintain a clean WordPress environment (plugin governance, updates, staging and testing workflows)
  • Build reusable landing page templates (Elementor sections or custom blocks) so pages can ship quickly
  • Improve site performance by auditing plugins, optimizing assets, compressing images, and coordinating caching/CDN settings
  • Own SEO implementation in WordPress (metadata, internal linking, on-page structure, indexation)

What You Bring:

  • 3-6+ years of experience building and optimizing WordPress websites in a performance-driven environment
  • Proven experience shipping paid media landing pages and improving conversion rate through UX, speed, and layout changes
  • Demonstrated technical SEO experience with real outcomes (CWV improvements, crawl/index fixes, redirect hygiene, schema)
  • A portfolio with before/after examples showing landing pages, speed improvements, or SEO fixes
  • Strong WordPress fundamentals: themes, templates, menus, page hierarchy, staging and deployment workflows
  • Comfort working in page builders such as Elementor
  • Some HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript knowledge for debugging and customization
  • Experience optimizing performance through caching, image compression (WebP), lazy loading, and plugin management
  • Strong QA discipline and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver within 2-5 business day turnaround windows
  • Availability during US Eastern Time hours

Bonus Points:

  • CRO tooling experience (Hotjar, Clarity, Optimizely, VWO)
  • HTML/CSS/JS comfort and basic PHP for safe template edits or child themes
  • Familiarity with WordPress security and accessibility best practices
  • Experience supporting WordPress SEO migrations
  • Google Analytics certification or SEO coursework

Non-Negotiables

  • Contractor availability of 20-30 hours per week minimum
  • Responsiveness within one business day; typical turnaround 2-5 business days
  • Ability to work during US Eastern Time hours
  • Ownership mindset: you proactively identify issues and ship improvements
  • High quality bar for speed, UX, SEO, and QA
