Our Data Ventures team is a nimble startup incubated within arenaflex, building a suite of data products to provide actionable, customer-centric insights and support business decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

As a Staff Data Scientist, you will be responsible for:

• Data Source Identification: Identify and extract relevant data sources, define data requirements, and perform preliminary data quality checks.
• Problem Formulation: Analyze business problems, identify key assumptions, and develop data-driven solutions to drive business growth.
• Analytical Modeling: Develop and deploy machine learning models, conduct exploratory data analysis, and identify key metrics to measure model performance.
• Model Deployment & Scaling: Work with MLOps to push ML models to production, continuously log and track model performance, and identify areas for improvement.
• Code Development & Testing: Write code to develop and deploy data-driven solutions, create test cases, and validate proposed solutions.
• Applied Business Acumen: Evaluate business cases, influence stakeholder decision-making, and translate business requirements into data-driven strategies.
• Model Assessment & Validation: Identify and evaluate model assessment metrics, apply testing and tuning strategies to evaluate model accuracy and robustness.
• Data Visualization and Storytelling: Develop data visualizations, create compelling stories, and present insights to various audiences.

What You'll Bring

* Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 4+ years of experience in an analytics-related field, with a strong background in machine learning, statistics, and data science.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Ability to execute projects from start to finish, implement best practices in ML Ops, and communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in working with large datasets, developing and deploying machine learning models, and evaluating model performance.
