About the Role

We are seeking part-time customer service and sales assistants to work in various areas of our retail operations, including sales, print shop technology, loss prevention, and textbooks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and maintaining the overall appearance and efficiency of our retail environment. This is a part-time position, working 19 hours per week or less, and offers a competitive hourly rate of $16.25 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers, providing a high-quality customer service experience and driving sales growth through active selling and product knowledge
• Maintain the appearance of the sales floor, including setting up seasonal promotions and visual displays, and regularly monitoring assigned areas for product restocking and recovery
• Operate cash registers, assist customers with check-out, and execute appropriate cash handling procedures
• Support inventory and order fulfillment operations, including receiving and processing incoming merchandise, assisting with special orders, and handling seasonal perishable goods
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide solutions to customer needs, both in-store and digitally

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent customer service skills, a pleasant personality, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should also have moderate computer and systems competency, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed. Prior retail sales experience is helpful but not required.
