Job Summary

We are seeking Part Time/Casual Customer Service & Sales Assistants to join our team in various locations, including Sales, Print Shop, Technology, Loss Prevention, and Textbooks. As a Customer Service & Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a high level of visual merchandising and inventory management. If you are a team player with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service, greeting and welcoming customers, and responding to their needs in a timely and professional manner

  • Demonstrate "active selling" skills, providing product information and guidance to customers, and driving sales through upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Maintain a high level of visual merchandising, setting up seasonal promotions and visual displays, and ensuring that assigned areas are well-stocked and visually appealing
  • Operate cash registers, assist customers with check-out, and execute cash handling procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with inventory management, receiving and processing incoming merchandise, and supporting special orders and store-to-store shipping requests
  • Support the digital and in-store shopping experience by assisting with responding to customer inquiries and providing solutions to customer needs
  • Work successfully as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Be dependable in attendance and punctuality, and flexible in scheduling based on business needs

Qualifications

* Pleasant personality and excellent customer service skills

  • Moderate computer/systems competency
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Prior retail sales experience is helpful but not required
