Job Summary

As a Customer Contact Center Representative – Student Loan Advisor, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to students and families navigating the complexities of student loans. You'll work closely with our team to resolve customer inquiries, process applications, and provide detailed information on various loan programs. Your exceptional communication skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities will make you a valuable asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to incoming calls, chats, and emails from students and families seeking assistance with student loans

  • Provide detailed information on various loan programs, including eligibility requirements, interest rates, and repayment options
  • Process applications and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Utilize pre-scripted responses and navigate various systems to provide accurate and up-to-date information
  • Document all interactions with customers, including call logs, notes, and follow-up actions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex customer issues and improve overall customer satisfaction
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on industry trends, policies, and procedures

Schedule

* Monday: 11:45am-8:15pm

  • Tuesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
  • Wednesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
  • Thursday: 8:45am-5:15pm
  • Friday: 8:45am-5:15pm

Requirements

* High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Must be able to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 35 WPM
  • Experience working with a personal computer and the Windows operating system is required
  • The ability to effectively work within established key performance indicators/metrics is necessary
  • Must have demonstrated excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and stay organized while completing simultaneous tasks
  • May be required to work holidays. Overtime may be required

Preferred Skills

* Experience working in a customer contact center or related field

  • Knowledge of contact center technology and software
  • Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Excel and Word
  • Excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills sufficient to communicate and interact effectively with customers and co-workers
  • Great customer service skills, with a focus on personalizing each interaction and providing solutions to customer needs
