The Role
As Director Data Science, you will lead the Global Data Strategy group within Risk Finance, responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to support our business objectives. Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining centralized reporting capabilities, implementing process enhancements and automation, and driving revolutionary insights to inform business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
- Own precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, becoming a subject matter expert in applicable tools (troubleshooting issues, reconciling results, identifying enhancements and automation opportunities, and training other customers to drive adoption).
- Develop and maintain preferred and ad-hoc reports used by Risk Finance and/or business partners, providing credit-associated analytical support.
- Develop and present key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management, driving business growth and innovation.
- Build and maintain relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.
- Provide selection-aid with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities in the portfolio, which can be used to optimize business and risk decisions.
Required Qualifications
* Advanced experience working with a combination of the following is required: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1.
- Experience working with a sophisticated level of Excel and PowerPoint is required.
- Experience in ML modeling is a plus.
- Solid economic and analytical skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions.
- Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Must be results-driven and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines.
- Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes.
- A strong work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals.
- Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline is required.

Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $55.00 to $85.00 hourly, plus bonus, equity (if relevant), and benefits. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
