Job Overview The Data Engineering team at arenaflex is responsible for partnering with various stakeholders to develop and sustain innovative projects, including data pipeline and database engineering services. As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in managing the development and maintenance of products for the Media business, focusing on data engineering activities such as maintaining and improving data acquisition processes, data validation processes, ETL/ELT data pipelines, and overall process alerting strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Gather data requirements and create source-to-arenaflex mappings Develop and review data validation scripts and data pipelines Design and execute database schema/tables/views and deliver datasets as input to science models and representations Monitor and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements Develop and maintain automated workflow schedulers Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust data validation and testing processes Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and maintenance Proven expertise in using Python and SQL (preferably with Snowflake) Experience with developing in a multi-environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DEVOP practices for code management/development Strong understanding of relational database design and functionality Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following skills and experiences will be considered an asset: Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar Proficiency in cloud architecture and product offerings, ideally AWS Experience managing and deploying code using a source control tool like GitLab/GitHub Experience using Docker Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
