[Remote] GO Virtual Tutor (Spring 2026)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Gotutorcorps is seeking dedicated and knowledgeable tutors to provide online academic support to students. The ideal candidate will engage students through virtual platforms and adapt to different learning styles, delivering small-group instruction in math and English Language Arts (ELA).
Responsibilities
- Provide virtual tutoring to students in Math and/or English Language Arts (ELA)
- Review lesson plans and instructional materials in advance to prepare for tutorial sessions
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Utilize interactive and engaging teaching methods to enhance learning
- Maintain records of student progress and session outcomes (e.g., online tracking system, reports)
- Communicate effectively with students and parents via the online platform
Skills
- Available to tutor: Mon - Friday: 1:20–3:30 PM EST OR Mon - Thurs: 2:30–3:30 PM EST
- Consistent schedule available at least 5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Minimum: enrolled in higher ed or associate degree
- A computer with camera and reliable internet access
- Headphones with microphone capability
- Quiet space with no distractions or background noise
- Provide virtual tutoring to students in Math and/or English Language Arts (ELA)
- Review lesson plans and instructional materials in advance to prepare for tutorial sessions
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Utilize interactive and engaging teaching methods to enhance learning
- Maintain records of student progress and session outcomes (e.g., online tracking system, reports)
- Communicate effectively with students and parents via the online platform
- Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring is a plus
- Strong subject knowledge in Math and/or English Language Arts (ELA)
- Proficient in using virtual learning platforms, online collaboration tools, and digital teaching methods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage students in an online environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Laptop or desktop computer, reliable internet connection and a quiet work environment
