Associate, Client Service Transfer Coordinator

What You'll Do: As an Associate, Client Service Transfer Coordinator in our retirement client onboarding service area, you'll be responsible for independently establishing and maintaining strong relationships with prior providers to effectively transition clients to Principal's retirement plans. Your day will be filled with:

  • Working with prior providers to confirm data gathering and transmission needs to assure timely and accurate transition of transfer funds for emerging to medium sized plans.
  • Working closely with Transition Managers as well as other team members to collaborate and ensure all prior records transition smoothly and accurately.
  • Identifying any issues with the prior data for resolution involving the Transition Manager and client.
  • Communicating with external clients, Advisors, and TPA's during transition of retirement plan.
  • Provide mentoring and training to internal and external customers. Make recommendations for procedure updates.

  • At least 4+ years of related experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Pension recordkeeping knowledge preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of computer applications including key Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, math, negotiation, detail oriented, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter who can work independently with all job levels.
  • Strong attention to accuracy with ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of business unit products is preferred.

Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $22.93 - $40.96 / hour Time Off Program: Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Pension Eligible: Yes Additional Information: Work Environments This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC).
