Job Summary

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative, you'll work in a fast-paced call center environment, providing exceptional support to patients, providers, and medical staff. You'll be responsible for answering inbound calls, scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and resolving complex issues. Key Responsibilities

* Answer a minimum of 11 calls per hour, resolving moderate to complex issues with empathy and professionalism

  • Schedule and verify appointments in our clinical information system, ensuring seamless communication with patients and providers
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Send and receive tasks to Provider offices, facilitating access to medical care and improving patient outcomes
  • Receive and process referrals, expedited, stat, and at-risk, prioritizing urgent cases and ensuring timely resolution
  • Contact patients to advise of appointment and referral status, providing clear communication and reassurance
  • Perform high-volume data entry, maintaining accurate records and ensuring data integrity
  • Process and resolve expedited patient complaints, addressing concerns and improving patient satisfaction
  • Review and process medication refills, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment
  • Respond proactively to inquiries from patients, providers, and internal medical personnel, providing expert guidance and support

Qualifications

* High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 6+ months of call center experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
  • 6+ months of customer service experience, with a strong understanding of patient needs and expectations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7am-8pm Monday-Friday, Saturday-Sunday 7am-5pm

Preferred Qualifications

* Medical terminology knowledge, with a strong understanding of health care concepts and terminology

  • Advanced knowledge of insurance products, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans
  • Training in a medical office-related field, with experience in patient care and health care administration
  • CPT and ICD-10 coding knowledge, with a strong understanding of coding principles and regulations

Soft Skills

* Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with patients and providers

  • Solid oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to write clear and concise reports and correspondence
  • Strong listening, critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with a ability to prioritize calls and tasks effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
