About the Role

TaxSlayer Pro is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Remote Seasonal Tax Specialist to support professional tax preparers during peak tax season. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who thrives on solving complex tax issues and enjoys helping others succeed. As a key member of our remote support team, you ll provide expert-level assistance via phone, email, and internal systems, ensuring our customers receive accurate, timely, and high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on federal and state tax matters to TaxSlayer Pro customers.
  • Assist with accurate data entry and troubleshooting within the TaxSlayer Pro software.
  • Respond to inquiries through phone, email, and internal ticketing systems.
  • Support seasonal and full-time agents with advanced tax issues.
  • Stay up-to-date on tax law changes and software updates through training and team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team success. Success Metrics
  • Resolution rate and accuracy of tax-related inquiries.
  • Customer satisfaction scores and feedback.
  • Timely and effective support during peak season.
  • Contribution to team knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Active Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA credential.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in tax preparation or advisory roles. Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of Individual and Business Forms: 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065.
  • Proficiency with professional tax preparation software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using multiple support tools and applications.

Work Environment

  • 100% remote work.
  • Flexible scheduling with rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends during peak season.
