Accounting / Reporting Assistant

BGIS is a leading provider of customized facility management and real estate services. The Accounting/Reporting Assistant reports to the Accounting/Reporting Manager and provides support in all areas of financial management including budget reviews, audits, general accounting, controlling, tracking, and reporting of costs.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and approves project budgets and client work authorizations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
  • Prepares and maintains accurate and complete records for audits
  • Monthly billing upload, verification/validation, invoice preparation and transmission
  • Preparation of monthly and ad hoc journal entries
  • Project close analysis and reconciliation
  • Monthly financial statements and reconciliations (balance sheet, profit and loss, etc.)
  • Provide additional support to ARMs/Operations team for data entry and ad hoc requests
  • Other tasks and duties, as required

Skills

  • 1-3 years job related experience
  • Undergraduate university degree or community college diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Adept at data analysis and interpretation
  • Working towards Professional Designation of CPA would be desirable
