Inventory Analyst, Ad Sales

FanDuel Sports Network is the nation’s largest provider of live local sports, producing and delivering over 3,000 live games and events every year. The Inventory Analyst, Ad Sales plays a critical role in maximizing the value of commercial inventory across live broadcasts and shoulder programming, ensuring ad inventory is forecasted accurately and sold efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Track, analyze, and forecast advertising inventory across live sports broadcasts (MLB, NBA, NHL) and original programming across all RSNs
• Partner with Sales, Planning, and Programming teams to align inventory availability with content schedules and sales strategy
• Monitor sell-through rates, preemptions, and under/over-sold areas to support revenue maximization
• Identify revenue opportunities in shoulder programming, pre/post-game shows, and special events
• Support pricing strategies by providing data-driven insights on inventory demand, ratings performance, and market trends
• Maintain inventory management systems and dashboards (e.g., WideOrbit, Excel, Power BI) to ensure real-time accuracy
• Collaborate with the linear and digital ad ops teams to coordinate inventory across cable and streaming platforms
• Provide regular reporting and post-campaign analysis to internal stakeholders and leadership
• Stay informed on programming changes, league schedules, and playoff scenarios that may impact inventory

Skills

• Proficiency in ad sales systems such as WideOrbit, Operative One, or similar tools
• Strong analytical and Excel skills (pivot tables, x-lookups, modeling)
• Familiarity with live sports schedules, seasonality, and local broadcast considerations
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with live event pressure
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• A passion for local sports and fan-first media experiences
• Knowledge of ratings systems (e.g., Nielsen) and performance measurement tools
