Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Data Entry: Accurately input data from paper formats into computer files or database systems, ensuring precision and reliability.
  • Customer Data Management: Type in data provided directly from customers, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
  • Spreadsheet Management: Create and manage spreadsheets with large data sets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Data Verification: Compare data with source documents to verify accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Data Maintenance: Update and maintain existing data as needed, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Data Retrieval: Retrieve data from databases or electronic files upon request, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Data Backup: Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation and prevent loss.
  • Paperwork Organization: Sort and organize paperwork post-data entry to prevent loss and maintain a clutter-free workspace.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a data entry clerk or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of data entry principles and best practices.
  • Typing Skills: Fast typing skills, with knowledge of touch typing strongly preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with office equipment, computer hardware, and peripheral devices.
  • Database Understanding: Basic understanding of databases, including data structures and query languages.
  • Language Skills: Good command of English, both oral and written, with strong customer service skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on data entry and computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, previous experience in data entry or a similar position is highly desirable.
