Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a SoC Top Level Design Engineer. The successful candidate will have a strong background in ASIC design and development, with experience in IP integration, RTL design, and pre-silicon verification. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for owning the development, creation, and delivery of high-level RTL/expectations for ASIC and SoC projects from concept to working silicon volume.
Key Responsibilities
Own the development, creation, and delivery of high-level RTL/expectations for ASIC and SoC projects from concept to working silicon volume Resolve primary or functional issues related to the integration of complex ASICs and SoCs and collaborate with teams across Google to develop ideas for high-impact Silicon and Hardware projects Manage all cross-functional interactions related to high-level RTL of chip projects Improve cross-functional performance techniques to create consistency and efficiency across multiple parallel execution teams and projects Perform technical assessments of vendors and IP, providing recommendations and evaluation of process node tradeoffs to meet performance, power, area, and cost targets Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field At least 2 years of experience in ASIC design streams and methodologies At least 2 years of experience in IP integration (e.g., Memories, Info/Results, and Simple IP) and RTL design Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Tcl, or Perl), Verilog/SystemVerilog, and other technology hubs Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience with various technologies (e.g., embedded processors, Double Data Rate (DDR), Serializer/Deserializer (SerDes), networking on-chip fabrics, etc.) Experience with silicon, emulation, FPGA validation and investigation, functional verification, physical design, and DFT techniques Experience with ASIC design procedures for clock domain checks, reset checks, and low power design Experience with SOC performance metrics and interfaces like High-level eXtensible Interface (AXI) Experience with low power design methodologies, power gating, and multi-voltage designs Experience with industry-standard integration tools Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Strong technical skills in ASIC design and development Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality results Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Google, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
