Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced data engineer to join our team and help us design and develop scalable and efficient data pipelines on cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS local event-driven services, such as Amazon EventBridge, AWS Lambda, and AWS Step Functions. They will also have experience with data engineering best practices, including data modeling, data quality, and data security. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with Python, NoSQL, and Kinesis.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing scalable and efficient data pipelines on cloud platforms
- Working with cross-functional teams to understand and define data requirements
- Implementing data quality checks and monitoring
- Advancing data pipelines for execution and cost optimization
- Staying up-to-date with the latest AWS advancements
- Developing and implementing personalization calculations using Python and Pydantic models
- Building and maintaining DynamoDB tables and NoSQL databases
- Using Amazon Kinesis to collect, process, and analyze streaming data

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering
- Strong understanding of AWS local event-driven services
- Experience with data engineering best practices, including data modeling, data quality, and data security
- Experience with Python and serverless advancements
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with personalization, Python, Pydantic models, DynamoDB, and NoSQL
- Experience with Amazon Kinesis
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering
