Job Responsibilities:

As an Experienced Technical Support Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Serving as the first line of contact and providing best-in-class customer support, issue resolution, and technical troubleshooting to customer queries through phone, ticketing system, chat, and daily tracking of IT Slack channels.
  • Interacting with customers in a courteous, friendly, and expert manner, concentrating attentively to customer needs and concerns, and exhibiting empathy.
  • Using available resources to answer, analyze, and prioritize calls and chats from customers experiencing issues with hardware, software, and other computer-related problems.
  • Ensuring the correct documentation of the issue and the Service Now ticketing system accurately displays the issue, including priority and category.
  • Determining the correct category of the issue and routing the ticket to the appropriate decision team.
  • Resolving issues within your skill set, including basic troubleshooting, account resets, and identifying apparent hardware failures.
  • Advising and working with the customer on basic preemptive troubleshooting responsibilities before escalating the ticket to the next tier for further decision.
  • Routing authorized requests for hardware and tracking hardware requests on behalf of the customer.
  • Providing proactive communication with the customer and updating them on ticket status.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Knowledge of basic computer operations (Windows/Apple).
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, when working with various audiences, including business customers, technical customers, developers, etc.
  • Experience responding to customer support requests.
  • Good time management skills to ensure that commitments are met within the allotted time frame.
  • A willingness to learn and develop skills to adapt to a changing department.
