Job Title: QA Engineer (With Gaming Domain Experience) Job Location: Los Angeles, CA | Remote IT01 Description: AgreeYa is a global Systems Integrator and is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our growing team. Be the champion of quality for player-facing experiences. As a QA Engineer, you’ll leverage comprehensive testing strategies and collaborate across teams to ensure performance, reliability, and exceptional player experiences across frontend and backend platforms. Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with QA leadership to define and execute team-level quality strategies.
  • Partner with developers and producers to understand features, assess risks, and plan test coverage.
  • Build, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and testing schedules.
  • Own and manage the defect tracking process, ensuring timely triage and resolution.
  • Coordinate and audit work from external QA vendors to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Communicate test progress, coverage, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation pipelines.
  • Advocate for the player experience through exploratory testing and qualitative feedback.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in software QA or a related role.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Jira Service Management Cloud.
  • ISTQB Foundation Level Certification.
  • Experience testing service-based or distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with testing web frontends or UI-intensive applications.
  • Strong understanding of defect lifecycle management and test methodologies.
  • Ability to gather logs, identify repro steps, assess severity, and analyze root causes.
  • Basic knowledge of continuous integration (CI) and version control tools and processes.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a game development or live service environment.
  • Familiarity with League of Legends or similar competitive multiplayer games.
  • Experience working with build pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Perforce, and game development workflows.
  • Experience overseeing QA efforts across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Exposure to managing or coordinating external vendor QA teams.
  • Hands-on experience with lightweight automation or scripting.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and iterating on solutions.
