Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Customer Service Representative to join our team at blithequark. As a Member Service Representative, you will provide exceptional telephone assistance to Medicaid members and providers, addressing a range of inquiries, including eligibility, provider changes, and requests for ID cards. Your goal will be to deliver an outstanding experience to our callers every time, leveraging your strong customer skills to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming member and provider calls, responding to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, extra benefits, and programs.
  • Utilize high-speed internet connectivity with secure service via an ethernet cable (note: Wi-Fi is not permitted) and company-provided equipment and training.
  • Participate in a comprehensive training program (first 6 weeks: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday) and adhere to a production schedule (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday).
  • Communicate effectively with members and providers, both orally and in written form, meeting performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals.
  • Demonstrate self-sufficiency while working from home and commute to the office in Charleston, WV, when unable to work from home due to prolonged technical issues.

Essential Qualifications

  • Must live within 50 miles of Charleston, WV.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with customers and understand their needs.
  • Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software.
  • Passion for delivering top-notch customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working remotely in a call center setting.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare.
