Imagine starting each day knowing your work directly contributes to saving and enhancing lives. At Live On Nebraska, every day is an opportunity to make a difference for donor families and individuals waiting for a transplant. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Clinical Coordinator to join our Clinical Services team, where your expertise will play a crucial role in the organ donation process. What You’ll Be Doing: As a Clinical Coordinator, you will manage the entire organ donation process, from initial donor assessment to organ recovery. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and evaluate organ donor referrals from across Nebraska.
  • Conduct initial phone screenings with hospital personnel to assess donor potential.
  • Perform on-site assessments to determine donor suitability, educating hospital staff on organ donation procedures.

  • Conduct post-recovery debriefings with the team to discuss outcomes and plan future steps.
  • Ensure surgeons sign off on all recovered organs and that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily briefings to update on patient and family status and strategize communication with families.
  • Perform daily diagnostic tests to assess organ suitability for transplantation, reporting findings to the medical director and on-call organ associate.
  • Stay current with all test results and culture updates to ensure the latest information is available for decision-making.
  • Keep precise records for billing and documentation purposes, starting from the declaration of brain death.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure.

Schedule:

  • Minimum of 24, 12-hour call shifts over a 2-month period on a flexible schedule.
  • Day/Night rotations on an average of every 2 months to stratify experience levels on shift and meet the needs of the team.
  • * Training may require more travel and call shifts to gain proper experience. **
