Key Responsibilities: As our Hybrid, Full-Time Health Information Management Coding Manager, you'll take on a multifaceted role that encompasses various responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of skilled coders and health information management professionals, inspiring them to achieve peak performance and unparalleled coding accuracy.
  • Oversee the coding process, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including ICD-10, CM and PCS, CPT-4 and APC/DRG.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical staff, finance, and IT, to streamline coding processes, optimize revenue cycle management, and enhance data accuracy.
  • Implement and refine innovative coding technologies and data analytics tools to ensure seamless workflows and comprehensive data insights.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and regulatory changes, proactively adapting coding practices to maintain compliance and industry best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development, encouraging your team to reach new heights in their coding expertise.

Qualifications: To succeed in this impactful role, we're looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in medical coding, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Proven expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, with a deep understanding of coding principles and guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P) certification required.
