As the Manager of US Payroll and Timekeeping, you will lead a team responsible for overseeing payroll, time tracking, and payroll technology to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Daily, this role involves managing vendor integrations, maintaining accounting and tax data, delivering reporting and training, and providing final approval for payroll processing. To thrive in this role, you will have at least seven years of payroll experience and proficiency with systems such as Workday or ADP.

Here’s what you will experience working as a Payroll Manager:

  • Lead the team responsible for processing hourly and salary payroll for over 15,000 US associates on bi-weekly and semi-monthly cycles.
  • Drive strategic initiatives within payroll, time tracking, and absence management.
  • Ensure technology configurations comply with company policies and provide comprehensive training to end users.
  • Serve as a liaison for partner projects, including developing and executing testing plans, attending project meetings, maintaining project documentation, and securing approvals for go-live.
  • Manage vendor integrations supporting benefits, payroll processing, timekeeping, absence, and finance, including the development or modification of new and existing integrations.
  • Maintain accounting tables, project codes, and earning/deduction codes, ensuring appropriate taxation and regulatory reporting.
  • Identify, develop, and deliver reporting requirements for partners such as operations, benefits, finance, payroll, leave team, corporate tax, and compensation, specifically related to earnings, absence, and timekeeping.
  • Monitor payroll tax payments and ADP tax company setup, ensuring data integrity between systems.
  • Provide final review and approval of high-volume bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls.
  • Possess knowledge of proper tax treatment and processing requirements for multi-state payrolls and employer-paid benefits. Act as an escalation point for colleagues, leaders, and associates.
  • Manage quarterly and year-end tax data reporting between Workday and vendors.
  • Develop and deliver training information to new associates as a result of acquisitions or transitions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Business or related degree
  • 7+ years Payroll Experience
  • Ability to develop talent
  • Proven analytic and quantitative decision-making skills, including the ability to extract meaningful insights from large data sets
  • Strong communication skills across all mediums – verbal, written, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software including intermediate to advanced experience with Excel to include basic Excel formulas (e.g., SUM, AVERAGE, VLOOKUP) as well as experience with creating and managing pivot tables
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS systems specific to Payroll, Timekeeping, and Absence (e.g., UKG, Workday, Dayforce, ADP, etc.)

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $61,357.00 – $110,424.03 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%
