Experienced Customer Care Associate II – Insurance Industry Expertise

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Care Associate II, you'll be responsible for:

  • Facilitating, analyzing, and resolving customer issues through various communication channels, including phone, email, and chat
  • Servicing a suite of absence products, including short-term disability, state disability, state paid family leave, and Family Medical Leave Act
  • Initiating new absences for members and answering questions about current benefits and claims
  • Collaborating across teams to solve customer issues and provide product support
  • Building relationships with Guardian members and providers by ensuring their needs are fulfilled in a timely and satisfactory fashion
  • Contributing to an ever-evolving work environment where everyone's ideas matter
  • Taking customer calls and providing accurate, satisfactory answers to their queries and concerns
  • De-escalating situations involving dissatisfied customers, offering patient assistance and support
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of blithequark's products and services

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • High School Diploma; Associate Degree or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in a service-related industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a team setting
  • Tech-savviness and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with complex or multi-line phone systems
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Great active listening skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and rapport-building skills

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Previous experience in the insurance industry
  • Knowledge of absence products and benefits
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
