Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Experience Agent, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch service to customers in the Electricity industry. Your primary duties will include:

  • Fielding incoming customer service calls, taking ownership of resolving customer issues in a timely and accurate manner
  • Researching account status and identifying potential issues
  • Addressing billing inquiries and resolving billing disputes
  • Processing disconnection and re-connection requests
  • Enrolling customers and resolving enrollment issues
  • Initiating collection activity on past due accounts and processing disconnection and re-connection requests
  • Serving as a customer advocate while adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies associated with the role

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required: Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential for communicating effectively with our diverse customer base.
  • Outstanding phone etiquette and polished communication skills: You'll need to possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Excellent listening skills: The ability to listen attentively to customers and understand their concerns is crucial for resolving issues efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain a calm demeanor: You'll need to remain composed when dealing with agitated customers, providing a calm and empathetic response to de-escalate situations.
  • Attentive to detail and committed to high-quality customer service: You'll be responsible for ensuring that customer issues are resolved accurately and efficiently, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills: You'll need to analyze customer data and identify solutions to complex issues, using your analytical skills to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Willingness to identify problems and suggest process improvements: We encourage our team members to think creatively and suggest improvements to our processes, ensuring that we continue to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proficiency in Windows environment and MS Word and Excel applications: Familiarity with these applications is essential for performing your duties efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an inbound call center environment: Previous experience in a call center environment is highly valued, as it demonstrates your ability to handle high volumes of customer calls and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Experience within the retail electricity industry: Familiarity with the Electricity industry is a significant advantage, as it enables you to understand the unique challenges and opportunities within this sector.
  • Experience in similar markets such as utilities, telecom, or cable: Experience in related industries is also highly valued, as it demonstrates your ability to adapt to new markets and customer needs.
