About the Role
As an Experienced Full Stack Data Engineer at Aetna, you will play a critical role in designing and developing scalable and efficient data pipelines that drive business growth and insights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data solutions that meet those needs. Your expertise in data engineering, cloud-based technologies, and data analytics will be essential in helping us to drive business growth and improve customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop scalable and efficient data pipelines that drive business growth and insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data solutions that meet those needs
- Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and data models to support business intelligence and analytics
- Work with data science teams to integrate data and models into automated processes
- Develop and maintain data shops and data models to support information science and other internal clients
- Analyze current data technology conditions to identify and evaluate key skills and suggest solutions
- Explore and recommend new tools and technologies to support data pipeline development and management
- Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to develop and implement data governance and quality standards
- Develop and maintain documentation and technical guides to support data pipeline development and management
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or related field
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and other relevant languages
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, including GCP, AWS, or Azure
- Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
- Experience with data governance and quality standards
- Experience with data visualization tools and technologies
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
- Experience with data warehousing and data mart design
- Experience with data quality and data governance frameworks
- Experience with data visualization tools and technologies
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services
Skills and Competencies
