Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and instruct specialized youth and adult classes/programs, including advanced levels
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, curricula, and activities that promote learning and fun
• Provide guidance, support, and feedback to participants, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience
• Collaborate with the Recreation Supervisor and other team members to achieve program goals and objectives
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and safety standards, applying this knowledge to continuously improve programs and services

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Considerable experience in teaching or instructing, preferably in a recreation or community setting
• Relevant education, training, and/or certification in your area of expertise
• Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to teach and engage participants of diverse ages and backgrounds
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the above requirements, we are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience working with youth and adults, including those with diverse needs and abilities
• Are certified in first aid, CPR, and AED, or willing to obtain certification
