Job Summary
As a Paraeducator, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing instructional support to students with special needs, including those with autism, physical disabilities, and learning disabilities
- Assisting teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Providing behavioral support and interventions to students with challenging behaviors
- Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Maintaining accurate records and reports on student progress and behavior
Key Responsibilities
* Provide instructional support to students with special needs, including those with autism, physical disabilities, and learning disabilities
- Assist teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment

Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field (e.g., special education, education, or a related field) preferred
- 2+ years of experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a public school setting
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, parents, and staff
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., special education, education, or a related field)
- Experience working with students with autism, physical disabilities, and learning disabilities
- Knowledge of behavioral interventions and strategies
- Experience with individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Bilingual or multilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, English, or other languages)
