Job Responsibilities

As an Autism Behavior Technician with Key Autism Services, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum, implementing ABA therapy and counseling programs established by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children and adolescents on the autism spectrum
  • Collecting behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
  • Conducting discrete trials, implementing behavior support, and treatment plans
  • Working collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
  • Being responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
  • Maintaining professionalism in all aspects of your work
  • Arriving on time and being prepared for therapy sessions

Requirements

To be considered for this rewarding role, you must:

  • Have a High School diploma or GED
  • Have experience working with children in a 1:1 setting (1 year minimum)
  • Have 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Be willing to work in both indoor and outdoor settings

Physical Requirements

As an Autism Behavior Technician, you must be able to:

  • Lift up to 35lbs
  • Perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time
  • Respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children
