Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Support Specialist to join our team on a remote basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining large datasets, creating and editing maps, and providing cartographic design services. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized individual with a strong foundation in GIS and data management.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain large datasets, including creating, editing, and publishing GIS feature data in a geodatabase environment and on the cloud
- Create and edit maps using Esri software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
- Provide cartographic design services, including creating and editing maps, charts, and other visualizations
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and provide data management and cartographic design services
- Develop and maintain knowledge of geospatial analysis methods and ESRI GIS applications development
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement process improvements and best practices
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and methodologies
Essential Qualifications
* Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Geography, Earth Science, Data Science, or a related field
- 2 years of relevant work experience in GIS and data management
- Proficiency with Esri software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
- Proficiency in creating, editing, managing, and publishing GIS feature data, both in a geodatabase environment and on the cloud
- Proficiency in cartographic design
- Working knowledge of geospatial analysis methods and ESRI GIS applications development
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
* Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Avenza MAPublisher
- Working knowledge of Arcade and/or JavaScript programming for GIS applications and API's integration
- Experience with data visualization and cartographic design
- Experience with data management and analysis
- Experience with GIS applications development
