Experienced Customer Service Representative – Medical Billing and Insurance Verification Specialist (Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

Primary Responsibilities:

Answer Incoming Calls:

Respond to patient inquiries, address concerns, and provide accurate information in a professional and empathetic manner.

Coordinate Billing Activities:

Collaborate with peers to recognize problems, research options, and implement solutions to ensure seamless billing processes.

Perform Billing/Verification:

Accurately process and verify patient accounts, ensuring timely and correct reimbursement for services.

Calculate Out-of-Pocket Amounts:

Determine patient responsibility for advanced services, providing clear and concise communication to ensure a smooth billing experience.

Respond to Inquiries:

Provide timely and accurate responses to patient inquiries, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

High School Diploma or Equivalent:

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Medical Billing and Insurance Verification Experience:

Two years of experience in medical billing and insurance verification is essential.

Customer Service Experience:

Two years of experience in a customer service environment is required.

Software Experience:

NextGen EPM and Epic software experience are highly desirable.

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency in keyboarding, Windows environment, and various payer verification/claims software is required.

Physical Requirements:

Continuous Sitting:

Prolonged sitting is required for this role.

Computer Use:

Frequent use of a computer, including repetitive fine hand manipulation, is necessary.

Occasional Bending and Twisting:

Occasional bending and twisting of the neck and back, standing, and/or walking may be required.

Lifting and Carrying:

Lifting and carrying items up to 25 pounds may be necessary.
