Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced ADA Compliance Specialist to drive accessibility initiatives across our web and mobile applications. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our digital platforms provide an equitable experience for all users, including individuals with disabilities. Key Responsibilities

As an ADA Compliance Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Conducting accessibility audits of web and mobile applications to ensure compliance with ADA, WCAG 2.1, and other relevant accessibility standards.
  • Collaborating with UX/UI designers, developers, and product teams to implement best practices in accessibility from the start of the design process.
  • Providing guidance and recommendations on improving the accessibility of existing web and mobile applications.
  • Working closely with QA teams to develop and execute accessibility testing strategies using both manual and automated tools (e.g., screen readers, keyboard-only navigation).
  • Staying up to date with changes in accessibility legislation and technology advancements to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Educating internal teams on accessibility standards and the importance of inclusive design.
  • Documenting and reporting on accessibility findings, providing clear recommendations for remediation.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, User Experience, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in web and/or mobile accessibility compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of ADA Title III, Section 508, and WCAG 2.0/2.1 standards.
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools like Axe, Wave, JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Certification in accessibility (e.g., CPACC, WAS, or other accessibility credentials).
  • Experience working within Agile or Scrum teams.
  • Familiarity with mobile development platforms (iOS, Android) and their accessibility features.
  • Experience working on large-scale projects that include compliance and accessibility considerations.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

  • A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
