ReminderMedia seeks a Junior Editor / Proofreader with an eagle eye for detail and a passion for precision. This role is perfect for a meticulous professional who wants to shape and refine a wide range of content, from print publications and web copy to social media posts and emails. You'll work closely with our creative team to ensure every piece of content is error-free, consistent with our brand voice, and polished to perfection.

We want someone who is eager to learn and use AI to handle initial grammar and spelling checks, allowing you to focus on higher-level tasks like style, brand consistency, and the final polish. If you enjoy fine-tuning copy and are excited by the potential of AI to enhance the editorial process, this is the role for you. Key Areas if Responsibility

  • Edit and proofread print and digital marketing content
  • Leverage AI tools to drive efficiency and innovation
  • Collaborate with writers, designers, and marketing managers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1+ year of copyediting or proofreading experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with style guides like the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) and the Associated Press (AP) Stylebook.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong grammar skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize a high volumes of work under tight deadlines, communicating project status and potential issues proactively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat; experience with content management systems like WordPress and knowledge of layout, design, and typography.
  • Comfort and interest in using AI tools to assist with editing and proofreading tasks.

Remote Requirements

  • Permanent residency in one of the following states is required: FL, GA, NC, SC, NJ, PA, DE, KY, IN, MI, TN, MO, MN, TX, OK, CO, NM, AZ, or NV only
  • 40-hour standard weekly schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST weekdays with paid time-off, paid holidays and no night or weekend shifts.
  • A dedicated, distraction-free workspace with high-speed internet service.
