Key Responsibilities

As an Online Customer Service Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Handling all incoming internet, email, social media, text, chat, and phone inquiries in a prompt, professional, and well-spoken manner
  • Assisting customers in selecting the right vehicle for their needs, taking into account their preferences and requirements
  • Conceptualizing and understanding the psychology of internet customers to set appointments for vehicle demonstrations
  • Directing customers to product information resources, including those available on the internet
  • Checking email frequently and responding to inquiries immediately
  • Delivering inquiries/messages intended for other sales personnel and departments promptly
  • Collaborating with Sales and Management staff to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the dealership experience

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Availability to work Monday through Sunday, with flexible hours ranging from 8:30am to 7pm (or variations during open business hours)
  • Strong attendance record, with the ability to adhere to attendance guidelines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Self-motivation and goal-oriented mindset, with a focus on meeting sales quotas and closing percentages
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and its products
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
