Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing empathetic and knowledgeable support to our members, providers, and pharmacies regarding pharmacy benefits, claims, and prior authorizations. Key Responsibilities

* Answer questions and handle problems regarding pharmacy benefits, provider, or claim issues

  • Handle inbound calls and make outbound calls to follow up with members, providers, and pharmacies as necessary
  • Spend approximately 90% of your time on the phones, providing empathetic customer service and resolving complex issues
  • Seek approval for overrides and prior authorizations as needed and enter them into the claims system
  • Monitor pharmacy claims processing and complete data entry of member records
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned by management

Essential Qualifications

* 1+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical healthcare industry

  • A pharmacy technician certification is highly preferred (inactive certifications also apply)
  • 1+ year(s) of PBM or health benefits experience
  • Experience in working in a high-volume call center is highly preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical healthcare industry

  • Advanced pharmacy technician certification (e.g., CPhT, RPh)
  • Experience with pharmacy claims processing and prior authorization systems
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy benefit management and healthcare regulations

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced call center environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Competitive hourly rate: $18.50-$19.50/hour (BOE), with a $1/hour shift differential for overnight shifts
