We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Night Shift Patient Coordinator to join our team, working remotely from the comfort of your own home. As a Patient Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients seeking medical assistance and support, providing a warm and welcoming experience that sets the tone for their care journey. This is a full-time, night shift position, working 11pm-7:30am Eastern, with some weekends and holidays required.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide exceptional patient experiences, building trust and rapport with patients and their families
  • Accurately document patient information and needs, using customized scripting and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills to defuse conversations and escalate situations as necessary
  • Maintain a high level of organization, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple patient interactions simultaneously
  • Participate in ongoing training and education, staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED, with an Associate's Degree preferred
  • 1+ years of customer service experience, with 1-2 years of healthcare experience desired
  • Inbound call center experience, with a strong understanding of patient-centered care principles
  • Excellent organizational, computer, and communication skills, with the ability to type a minimum of 25 wpm
  • A professional, courteous telephone voice, with excellent listening and comprehension skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple patient interactions
  • Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy, with a strong commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to converse in Spanish and document in English simultaneously
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a strong understanding of HIPAA-compliant workspaces
  • Call center or medical office experience, with a strong understanding of patient-centered care principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to defuse conversations and escalate situations as necessary

  • A reliable telephone line, with a land-line phone or a voice-over line provided by the same company as your internet
  • A company-provided computer and equipment, with a 27" monitor and a keyboard, mouse, and dial pad/phone
