Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Manager of Software Platform Operations to oversee the 24/7 operations team, ensuring the seamless deployment, availability, and performance of our customer platform. This strategic role will report to our Vice President of Information Technology and will be responsible for driving process improvements, establishing key metrics, and leading a culture of standardization, automation, innovation, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Management: Lead a diverse team of US-based employees and offshore contractors, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the team's success.
• Platform Operations: Manage the deployment, availability, and performance of our customer platform, ensuring high levels of uptime and responsiveness.
• Metrics and Reporting: Establish and track key metrics to measure platform health, and provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports to stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives to increase availability, performance, and efficiency.
• Real-time Dashboards: Develop and maintain real-time dashboards to instrument platform health and provide actionable insights.
• Change Management: Serve as a change management agent, leading the team through process improvements and changes.
• Stakeholder Management: Partner with technical leadership and other key stakeholders to ensure effective resource utilization, quality tracking, and continuous improvement.
• KPIs and Performance Management: Establish consistent KPIs, rollout across verticals, and manage performance to ensure achievement of KPIs.

Essential Qualifications

• Leadership Experience: 3+ years of leadership experience in an operations management role, with a proven track record of success.
• SaaS Experience: 3+ years of experience in a SaaS environment, with a deep understanding of SaaS operations and challenges.
• Oracle Experience: Previous experience working in an Oracle database environment, with expertise in Oracle administration and management.
• Linux Administration: Linux administration experience is required, with a strong understanding of Linux systems and command-line interfaces.
• Monitoring Tools: Experience with various monitoring tools covering infrastructure, database performance, APM, and RUM.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building experience.
• Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• IT Service Management: Experience with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL.
