Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Manager, Global Events, Protective Services to lead our event security team and ensure the safe and successful execution of our global events. As a key member of our Protective Services team, you'll be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, developing and implementing security plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results. Key Responsibilities

  • Event Security Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive security plans for high-profile events, ensuring the safety and security of attendees, speakers, and staff.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of security professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the team is equipped to handle the demands of event security.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with event managers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of events and provide security briefings and updates as needed.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential security risks, developing strategies to minimize threats and ensure business continuity.
  • Budget Management: Manage event security budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost savings where possible.
  • Communication and Reporting: Provide clear and concise written and verbal communications to stakeholders, including event reports, security incident reports, and other documentation as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze event security processes and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the overall security program.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in event management, program management, or business development, with a focus on security or a related field.
  • Global Experience: Demonstrated ability to work with global teams and manage events in multiple locations.
  • Travel: Ability to travel occasionally with short or no notice.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and deadline management.
  • On-Call Availability: 24/7 on-call availability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree: MBA or master's degree in Business Management or a related field.
  • Professional Certifications: One or more professional certifications, such as PMP, CMP, or other comparable certifications.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, as well as strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio.
  • Self-Motivation: Highly self-motivated to see tasks through to completion, with excellent organizational skills and adherence to compliance with timelines and deadlines.
  • High Ethical Standards: High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information; excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy.
