Who Are We Looking For?

If you’re a DevSecOps Engineer and you have:

• AWS SysOps Administrator Associate, Google Cloud Platform certification equivalent, Microsoft Azure certification (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert), or equivalent working knowledge/experience
• System administration background
  • Very good knowledge of the Linux operating system
  • Understanding of the basic command-line operations, tools, and text editors (e.g., cat, echo, grep, awk, sed)
  • Ability to install/update software
  • Understanding of the user environment (accounts, environmental variables, file permissions), local security (sudo, root account), processes, and the file system
• Experience with Cloud Platforms:
  • AWS services we usually work with:
    • VPC, R53
    • SG, NACL, ACM, WAF
    • S3, EC2, ECS, ECR, EKS
    • CloudFront , RDS , Kinesis, MSK , SQS, SNS , Cloudwatch , AWS Lambda
  • Azure services we usually work with:
    • Landing zone, Virtual Network, Azure DNS, Traffic Manager
    • Network Security Groups (NSGs), Application Security Groups (ASGs), Azure Firewall, WAF
    • Blob Storage, Virtual Machines, Azure Container Instances (ACI), Azure Container Registry (ACR), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
    • Azure CDN, Azure SQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL/MySQL, Event Hubs, Stream Analytics, Azure Queue Storage, Service Bus, Azure Monitor, Azure Functions
• Experience with DevOps & Tools:
  • Git
  • Designing and implementing CI/CD processes (Gitlab, Jenkins)
  • Containerization (Docker)

It’s a big bonus if you have:

• Linux certification
• Knowledge of IaC (Infrastructure as Code): Terraform/CloudFormation…
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab
• Experience with configuration management tools (i.e. Ansible)
• Experience with container orchestration tools – Kubernetes
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Coding skills
• Knowledge of relational database services
• Backup and recovery experience

Job description

• Designing and building infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) as part of a technical solution
• Designing and building CI/CD processes to deliver/deploy to a provisioned infrastructure on a cloud platform
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Testing and examining code written by others and analyze results
• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
• Working with software developers and engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
