We are currently seeking a seasoned Manager, HR Business Partner to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles or New York City. As a strategic partner to our business leaders, you will play a critical role in driving organizational effectiveness, talent development, and HR initiatives that foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

About the Group

The Trade, Development, and Character association at blithequark drives the product and tech strategy for our streaming services, including Disney+, Hulu, blithequark+, and other industry-leading products. Our teams are responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that showcase our unparalleled content and characters across our brands and establishments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the business, building effective and productive working relationships with internal partners and clients.
  • Proactively evaluate business and organizational performance to recommend and drive action through a consultative, "impact without power" approach.
  • Mentor leaders on HR strategies, processes, and management issues, including talent planning, learning and development, employee engagement, and performance management to advance a culture of continuous innovation and growth.
  • Demonstrate adaptability, agility, transparency, and global thinking in your approach to work.
  • Respond to leaders and employees with urgency and deliver results.
  • Analyze HR data and trends, presenting findings in a clear and compelling manner that informs business decisions.
  • Provide guidance on headcount/resource management and collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Compensation partners to ensure effective recruitment and talent management processes.
  • Utilize understanding of individual and organizational dynamics to facilitate onboarding, talent management, internal mobility, and overall team development.
  • Collaborate with DEI functional teams and employee resource groups to implement and track the success of key Inclusion initiatives.
  • Assess talent capabilities and development needs based on business strategy, working with Learning partners to design and deliver development experiences that address gaps in current and future capabilities.
  • Lead organization design initiatives to streamline and implement new structures, roles, or processes that drive speed, efficiency, and agility in response to rapidly changing business demands.
  • Foster positive working relationships with other HR colleagues, collaborating on projects and initiatives across various groups within blithequark.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally within a tech organization working with software or product teams.
  • Experience working with senior leaders in an "impact without power" role.
  • Ability to perform with a "focus in" mindset, equally proficient at thinking strategically and functionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage ambiguity, navigating issues that may not have established processes or frameworks.
  • Strong business acumen with a sharp ability to process new information quickly.
  • Proven capacity to influence and partner within a diverse organization to drive business results.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to rapidly interpret data, identify trends, and recommend solutions.
  • Autonomous work style, balancing the need for collaboration with minimal management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, HR Management, Psychology, or equivalent work experience.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a comprehensive compensation package that includes:
