The External Manufacturing Manager is responsible for managing relationships with third-party manufacturers and co-packers to ensure the production of safe, high-quality coffee products that meet Starbucks’ standards and regulatory requirements. This role ensures that external partners deliver on time, within budget, and in compliance with food safety and quality standards, while supporting innovation and continuous improvement. As an external manufacturing manager, you will… · Identify, qualify, and manage external manufacturing partners and co-packers. Monitor and manage performance of third party manufacturers through KPIs such as OTIF (On Time In Full), quality metrics, and cost efficiency. · Ensure external production aligns with demand forecasts and inventory targets. Analyze production data to inform strategic sourcing and capacity planning. · Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and external partners. · Drive continuous improvement in product quality and consistency. Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements. We’d love to hear from people with:

• Supply chain operations experience in multiple functional areas such as Planning, Procurement, Capital Engineering and Manufacturing. Experience in the Food or CPG industry preferred.
• Experience commercializing multi-market/region, multi-channel product introductions

• If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
