Key Responsibilities

• Research and advise on legal and compliance risks related to online multijurisdictional pharmacy operations
• Collaborate with the business to develop effective risk mitigation strategies
• Draft and negotiate contracts with pharmacy and healthcare product suppliers
• Support the healthcare compliance team with compliance initiatives and interpreting relevant laws and regulations
• Review and manage general investigation work product on state and federal legislation, including 50-state surveys
• Review pharmacy and healthcare-related marketing, promotional, and advertising materials
• Review and assist in the resolution of customer complaints
• Lead a team to support regulatory and compliance issues related to healthcare matters
• Collaborate with various areas of the Legal Division and provide timely and meaningful guidance to all areas and levels within Chewy Healthcare
• Work with and manage external legal counsel
• Monitor legislation identified as potentially impacting operations and develop advice on that potential business impact

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• 3+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate or healthcare setting
• Admission to the Florida Bar or the ability to obtain an in-house license
• 3+ years of in-house experience, with a proven track record of managing others
• Experience with online or mail-order pharmacy operations is highly desirable
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and concise language
• Strong analytical skills, combined with a practical, business-savvy, and strategic approach
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
