Role and Responsibilities: As a Postal Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while handling a variety of retail and mail-related tasks. This role supports USPS operations through flexible shift scheduling and efficient service delivery.
- Assist customers with mailing and shipping services, including package weighing, labeling, and postage
- Promote and sell USPS products and services at the retail counter
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
- Ensure prompt, friendly, and professional service to all customers
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Maintain organized and clean workstations and public lobby areas
- Follow USPS policies and safety regulations
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency for processing transactions and data entry
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift packages up to 70 lbs
- Detail-oriented with accurate cash handling skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous retail or postal service experience
- Familiarity with USPS mailing systems and products
- Bilingual communication skills
