Job Description and Key Responsibilities

As a Telecommunications Specialist (Engineering) at Workwarp, you will play a critical role in the design, maintenance, and development of outside plant facilities. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering field data and preparing field notes for recommendations to engineers and/or for designing work orders
  • Driving a company vehicle to various locations to gather data and verify plant conditions
  • Entering manholes to gather data and verify plant conditions
  • Coordinating activities with other departments, customers, utilities, municipalities, and/or businesses
  • Reviewing and interpreting work orders
  • Working with various systems to design, order, and maintain electronic equipment
  • Working outside in all weather conditions to ensure the smooth operation of our outside plant facilities

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in telecommunications engineering, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Essential qualifications include:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or telecommunications
  • Experience working in the telecommunications industry, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of outside plant facilities and telecommunications systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
