We are now seeking a seasoned Senior Director of User Experience to join our Product team, reporting directly to our Chief Product Officer, and drive the development of user-centered design solutions that elevate the product experience and drive business success.

About the Role

As Senior Director of User Experience, you will lead our User Experience team in designing seamless, user-centered experiences that scale and enhance both usability and customer satisfaction. This player/coach role involves leading a team of four direct reports, developing new products with consumer (candidate) experience opportunities and enterprise talent team experiences, and collaborating with product, engineering, and data science teams to deliver user-centered solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a scalable design system to ensure consistency across products and enhance the overall user experience.
  • Improve design processes and ensure collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and data science.
  • Deliver user-centered solutions that enhance both usability and customer satisfaction, driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Provide thought leadership and ownership on all design decisions as a member of the Product & Technology leadership team.
  • Develop and implement scaled processes to ensure high-quality, consistent visual and interactive design.
  • Regularly report on UX initiative updates and provide status reporting to stakeholders.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Product Officer.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in user experience design, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • A degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Cognitive Science, or Fine Arts.
  • Experience in designing for SaaS platforms, particularly in complex enterprise environments.
  • A track record of building and scaling design systems that ensure consistency across products.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including usability testing, A/B testing, and ethnographic research.
  • Mastery in using design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision for wireframing, prototyping, and mockups.
  • A strong understanding of visual design principles, including color theory, typography, layout, and branding.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices (e.g., WCAG guidelines) and experience designing inclusive experiences for all users.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience working in a fully remote environment with a distributed team.
  • A background in AI-driven hiring solutions or talent acquisition.
  • Experience with design systems and UX design leadership in a scale-up organization.
