What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health

Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.

The Omnichannel Sales & Service Enablement team delivers a seamless omnichannel customer experience (CX) through Integrated CRM. We provide opportunities and insights for internal teams to drive sales, service and marketing value and synergies by consolidating customer 360 data and leveraging AI and ML capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces.
  • Conveys general understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies.
  • Plans and executes system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts.
  • Utilizes conceptual knowledge of architecture standards and database and operating systems.
  • Promotes problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages.
  • Analyzes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.
  • Applies knowledge of software development, life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents.
  • Delivers high level business requirements and provides options analysis.

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Salesforce knowledge and experience highly desired
  • Demonstrates general understanding of SaaS platforms including but not limited to Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Pardot technologies.
  • Ability to define work processes and lead team members in successful implementation and ongoing execution
  • Ability to develop individuals and teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Working directly with business clients and IT counterparts who work US hours
  • Demonstrated preferred skills in managing dev / ops in a complex salesforce environment
  • Preferred experience in developing / delivering salesforce in an agile environment managing parallel sprints

Anticipated salary range:$121,600 - $182,385
