Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the face of our company, interacting with applicants through various channels, including phone, email, and chat. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to all inbound inquiries from applicants with effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Providing technical assistance to applicants, allowing them to complete their applications efficiently
  • Navigating our computerized system for responding and/or troubleshooting to applicants' questions
  • Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills, as well as being comfortable with multitasking, as needed
  • Building strong interpersonal relationships with applicants, empathizing with their concerns and providing personalized support
  • Staying up-to-date on all FORWARD application programs to provide excellent applicant support
  • Identifying inefficiencies in workflows and suggesting solutions to improve our processes

Key Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Technical savvy, with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with people from varied cultural, socioeconomic, educational, and experiential backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new challenges
  • Ability to work with a high volume of activity (phone, email, and chat)
  • Bilingual abilities preferred (English/Chinese (Mandarin)/Spanish)
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Availability to work a 6 am-3 pm schedule (preferred)
