As the Power BI & Data Visualization Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in empowering teams across the organization with actionable analytics. How You Will Contribute:

• Analyze and pre-process data to uncover patterns and trends that fuel business insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations with tools like Power BI, Looker, and Snowflake.
• Deliver high-quality visuals and actionable insights tailored to evolving business needs.
• Craft intuitive data stories that are easy for non-technical users to understand and act upon.
• Train and enable teams to leverage self-service analytics tools and foster a data-driven culture.
• Mentor colleagues, lead knowledge-sharing sessions, and stay ahead of industry trends.
• Architect scalable analytics solutions and lead proof-of-concept initiatives for new tools.
• Partner with IT teams to ensure seamless implementation and support of data solutions.

The Must Haves:

• 10+ years of hands-on Power BI experience, including advanced DAX, Power Query (M), and custom visuals.
• 8+ years working with relational databases and cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or Oracle.
• 5+ years architecting analytics solutions and mentoring teams.
• Proven ability to solve complex business problems by interacting directly with users.
• Expertise in data visualization theory, design best practices, and rapid dashboard prototyping.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership and drive strategic conversations.

The Assets:

• Business analytics experience in domains like Sales, Finance, or Supply Chain.
• Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Looker, or Business Objects.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and iterative development processes.
• Experience with project management tools like JIRA or Confluence.

Pay Range:

The annual pay range for this position is CAD 105,900 - CAD 169,100

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
