Job Overview

As an online English teacher with Betakid, you will be responsible for delivering 25-minute, one-on-one classes to Chinese students aged 3-12. Our curriculum is based on original U.S. elementary school material, with prepared lesson plans and in-class activities designed to engage and motivate young learners. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, interactive English lessons to Chinese students aged 3-12 via our online platform
• Prepare and review lesson plans, materials, and activities to ensure engaging and effective classes
• Conduct classes during peak hours (17:00-21:30 China time), with a minimum of 40 hours per month
• Maintain a fixed schedule and ensure punctuality and reliability
• Utilize a range of teaching methods and strategies to cater to different learning styles and needs
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students to promote their language development and confidence
• Collaborate with our team of teachers and staff to share best practices, resources, and ideas
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher (majoring in English and/or Education is an asset)
• Eligibility to work in the U.S., Canada, or UK (we only accept applications from applicants with a BA degree obtained from these countries)
• 1 year of teaching experience (either online or offline, public school or private education institution)
• Teaching certificate, state certification, TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or PGCE
• Legal working age
• Strong computer skills and reliable, high-speed internet connection (with cable)
• Webcam and headset

• Master's degree or higher in English, Education, or a related field
• 2+ years of teaching experience, particularly in online education
