Job Summary

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts, developing strategic sales strategies, and driving business growth across the clinical trials spectrum. You will work closely with our internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Systems, to deliver a seamless client experience and achieve our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Client account and relationship management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, understanding their needs and preferences to drive business growth.
• Sales strategy and execution: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives, including identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing client relationships.
• Client account development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the verticals of RWE Clinical, including trials business, patient enrollment, decentralized clinical trials (DCT), HEOR, and epidemiological studies.
• Collaborative sales approach: Work closely with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Systems, to deliver a seamless client experience and achieve business objectives.
• Proactive sales activities: Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities, define solutions, and prescribe pricing structures to meet strategic objectives.
• Project coordination: Coordinate with relevant business areas to ensure successful project execution, including project kick-off, implementation, and close-out.
• Bid management: Lead bid management efforts, ensuring that proposals are delivered on time and meet client expectations.
• Client-facing skills: Provide a collaborative, client-facing, problem-solving environment with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Systems to enhance Walgreens' clinical trials market leadership.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as life sciences, business, or marketing.
• A proven track record of developing mid- and senior-level business contacts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage and integrate with internal teams, including Operations, Finance, and Marketing.
• A strong understanding of clinical trials, decentralized trials, and RWE trends.
• Demonstrated expertise in identifying and developing potential customers, making professional presentations, managing the sales cycle, and closing deals.
• Proficiency in sales automation systems and Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

• A graduate degree or MBA.
• Experience working in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Familiarity with clinical trials management systems (CTMS) and electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
