Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate ABA/Autism Behavior Technician to join our growing team in Lafayette, CO. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum, implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs established by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Job Responsibilities

As a Behavior Technician with Key Autism Services, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing one-on-one ABA therapy and counseling to children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy
  • Collecting behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
  • Conducting discrete trials, implementing behavior support, and treatment plans
  • Working collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
  • Being responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
  • Maintaining professionalism in all aspects of your work
  • Arriving on time and being prepared for therapy sessions

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting
  • 1-year ABA experience (or 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting)
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs
  • Ability to perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time
  • Ability to respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children
  • Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
